Another amazing café/bar in the Bastille area! I was attracted by its huge clock hanging a few steps from the entrance. It gives such a classic, romantic, and nostalgic vibe. A perfect place to have a glass of wine and immerse in the dim light and your own thoughts. The interior is spacious with a clean restroom. The staff was kind and friendly!

I feel like this place is definitely an old school brasserie, it's interesting, because the menu is setup in a comic book-ish way. The steak was a little chewy, meaning there were parts I couldn't swallow. I kind of felt like the waitress was waiting for us to leave a tip, maybe because we were American, but I know it's not common practice in France, so to me at least she looked a little disappointed that we didn't leave a tip... Again, it might have just been me.

Delicious breakfast. The scrambled eggs with bacon was very tasty. Friendly staff, pretty cafe. Would recommend

I'm a bit surprised of the rather low rating this place has. It was just lovely during our visit - service was great despite the bad reviews about it. Everyone spoke perfect English and was really nice. Food was just amazing - the best duck liver we ever had! Wine was reasonably priced and very tasty. The place is a bit more expensive then surrounding venues, but totally worth it for us.
